- Valorant continues it’s competitive gaming initiative as Valorant Ranked servers are ready for NA and EU.
Valorant is definitely going to be an interesting game. The developers at Riot Games is miles ahead from other Early Access Titles we have seen before. The Beta does not feel like a beta, it does feel like a finished product. Of course, there are some issues here and there with the balancing but the general consensus within the community is the game looks polished. Riot Games never hid that they were developing Valorant for competitive gameplay. The company is very experienced in esports and therefore they want to release Valorant as an esports title right away.
In the next 30 minutes we’re going to turn ranked on in North America.
If all goes well there, we’ll turn ranked on in Europe after the hotfix patch (so after 9:30AM CEST on May 1).
We also… reserve the right to turn off ranked at any time if things get weird.

Of course, we might be in Beta, but Riot Games announced that Valorant Ranked playlist will be online in NA and EU very soon. First, the NA release will come and the EU will follow. The developers already explained the ranking system within the game. Also, we are expecting new Agents to come very soon since developers stated that 2 Agents and 2 new maps will come during the Beta. The game will be a direct competitor against other competitive FPS titles and Valorant does look like it started to worry them. CS: GO for example started doing updates back to back since the announcement of Valorant. Overwatch hero pools update came right away.
Of course, not everything is going great for the game, the recent anti-cheat program problem between developers and players created issues. Players stated that they can not turn off the Anti-cheat even if they are not playing. Valorant devs announced that this is done in order to combat cheaters. However, the anti-cheat being on all the time is annoying at best for some players. Especially during the Beta, this kind of problem is expected and easily fixable by Riot Games. But one thing is for certain they really are taking anti-cheat seriously since it ruined many games in the past.
