- Today we are going to take a look at Amouranth as one of the most interesting Twitch streamers, with a controversial side.
Twitch is the biggest streaming platform in the world. Of course, since there are many streamers, there is a lot of different varieties. Twitch is mainly for gaming, however, there are painters, videographers, celebrities, you name it, and Twitch allows them to connect with their fans and show their talents. Since Twitch is generally for gamers, there are girl gamers who stream as well, some of them are pretty good like CinCinBear, and some are not there to play games like Belle Delphine.
Amouranth used to paint on screen and at some point, things got a little bit more interesting. Today we check her story.

Who is Amouranth?
Amouranth is a Twitch partner and over the last few months, she was able to net more than 2,000 viewers on average, bringing her total close to 1,500,000 followers on the popular streaming platform. She is 26 years old from Houston, Texas and her real name is Kaitlyn Siragusa. Amouranth, is also a popular cosplayer, model, and social media personality (she goes by “wildkait” on Twitter).
Amouranth Banned
Kaitlyn Siragusa is definitely a controversial Twitch figure as she has walked some fine lines in the past, however, she actually got took it too far. Last year Amouranth was banned from Twitch because of accidental nudity. What happened was that she was chatting with her fans online and experienced a wardrobe malfunction, similarily to Alinity. During the stream, many viewers were letting her know how the nudity, however, the damage was done. Someone clipped that part of the stream and the video went viral, being shared all of social media. Eventually Twitch caught on and gave Amouranth the ban hammer. Some of her followers even went as far as to appeal Twitch’s ban decision. The ban only lasted 3 days, and she went back to streaming, of course, without facing some criticism online for the ban being too short.
Amouranth recently got banned again from Twitch for something she did while streaming a “Gym stream”. In her Discord chat she said,
“I have been told that I’m being suspended for something that happened during a gym stream last week. I haven’t seen the vod yet… Waiting for them to show me so I can appeal. I don’t have much more information than that. The longest it can be is three days.”
Although she’s a Twitch partner, her account status could be on shaky grounds considering she violated Twitch policies twice (although some would say even more).
When we are taking a look at how Twitch is handling this situation we can see that, they are actually ok with some teasing up to a certain point. Accidental nudity is causing bans, however, they are also pulling viewers to watch these streams. Twitch banned her twice and allowed her to return both times. This alone proves that they are ok with it, and the streamer community is divided over the matter. On one hand, everyone is totally cool about these kinds of streamers, on the other hand some are concerned because kids can also access these streams. Twitch does have a “Stream is intended for mature audiences” warning when you go to a controversial streamer. Either perhaps they swear a lot or they are like Amouranth who likes to tease her audience. In the end, as long as +18 is is enforced everything should be fine. What will happen to Amouranth in the upcoming months? No one is certain, but we do know she likes to hang out with her viewers.
