- Rainbow Six Siege “The Lord” Tachanka is finally reworked by Ubisoft and the new one is very good.
Like every other game Rainbow Six Siege has iconic faces. Generally, the icons in other games are picked for their use. However, in Rainbow Six Siege Tachanka, even though he was an icon, was rarely picked. When Rainbow Six Siege was first introduced, the game was very different. Players tried to defend a room and generally did not roam as much. However, since Operation Health the game is much more mobile. This destroyed Tachanka’s use because he had a mounted LMG which is immobile and had no secondary gadget. But even though he was not picked that often the players created a meme around it and Tachanka was named “The Lord”. But with Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 we will see a Tachanka Rework.

Tachanka Rework
As we have said before Tachanka’s number one weakness was his mobility. However, according to the developers, this will change with the upcoming Year 5 Season 1. Rainbow Six Operation Void Edge Tachanka Rework is going to give Tachanka the ability to use his LMG and use it as a normal weapon, not a static mounted turret. This will be interesting because his LMG offers a ton of damage but a slow rate of fire. Also, Tachanka rework is going to add another gadget to his arsenal. Tachanka will be able to use Molotov Cocktails to block pathways and doors to the objective and can be really strong for defenders especially in the last seconds of a round.
BUT WAIT!
THERE IS MORE!

Tachanka Rework was needed in the game because he was not used at all. The LMG change is normal and was needed. However, the molotov cocktail change is an interesting one because this simply means that with Smoke and Tachanka combination alone defenders will be able to close most of the pathways for attackers. This will be an interesting thing to see and that can open the way to an operator that can be null against these problems.
