Video Game Releases April 22 – 28

For the week of April 22nd, there will be a lot of new video game releases to look forward to. One of the most anticipated games is Mortal Kombat 11. The last time fans saw a Mortal Kombat game was back in 2015 with Mortal Kombat X. Another notable game is Days Gone, which is a PS4 exclusive. What we can see so far, many gamers are eagerly waiting for the game to be released. Lets see the games coming out for the week of April 22nd to April 28th.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen

Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen is set to be released on April 23rd for the Nintendo Switch. The game was originally released back in 2013, and received high ratings from Steam, Meta Critic and IGN. What was once offered on every platform except Nintendo, will now be enjoyed by Switch users. The game has received a lot of attention from the gaming community, and Capcom has hinted that there might be a sequel to the game. It’s a great time to get the game as a squeal would reiterate how good the game is. On top of that, Netflix has confirmed that they are making an anime based on the original plot-line.  With a Google rating of 95%, you can’t go wrong with Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.

Mortal Kombat 11

One of the most anticipated games for 2019 will be released on April 23rd. Mortal Kombat 11 will be available for the Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Mortal Kombat 11 brings back the classic theme. It’s a sequel to Mortal Kombat X. The game will feature the popular Fatalities and Brutalities, as well as introducing new features never before seen. X-ray moves will make it’s return (first seen in Mortal Kombat X). The game focus on a corrupted Raiden who plans to protect Earthrealm by eliminating all of its enemies.

Steamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech

Steamworld  Quest will be available on the Nintendo Switch on April 25th. It’s a roleplaying card game which challenges the players on all fronts. By creating your own deck, you can take on all the challenges by choosing over 100 unique punch-cards. Mix in dragons, magic, vivd worlds and shining armor, and you have yourself an role-playing adventure game that you can play for hours. Boxboy! + Boxgirl!

BoxBoy! now has a sidekick, Boxgirl!. For those unfamiliar with the Boxboy!, it’s a puzzle platformer that was released back in 2015 by HAL Laboratory. You control a box named Qbby, who produces a string of connected boxes to overcome obstacles in stages where Qbby has to be guided through. This time around, Boyboy! has a new sidekick, Qucy, which she will be able to help him conquer the most challenging stages.  The game is set to be released on April 26th. More information here.

Days Gone

This survival horror game is what every Resident Evil fan has been waiting for. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic open world, played in 3rd person. You are in control of Deacon St. John, the former outlaw and now turned bounty hunter. Battle your way through Freakers (zombies) who are evolving-creatures. The game has been in the works since 2015 and was developed using the Unreal Engine 4. This is one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusives coming to the platform. The game will be released on April 26.
