The Esports Awards is the biggest awards of the Esports community. Essentially. we can call them easily Oscars of the esports world. Today, esports teams are getting sponsored by big companies. Streamers are getting sponsored by huge brands and it’s understandable why these companies are giving esports their focus. There are hundreds of millions of esports viewers around the world, and that number possible bigger in the streaming world. In 2019, esports continues to propel to new heights, and the awards show presented the industry in all of its glory.
This will be the 4th annual awards. The awards show is covering players from all over the world. We have streamers, pro players and content creators from every corner of the world. There are dozens of tournaments held every week. Most of these people work hard to get somewhere in this field. It is not just sitting down and playing games, but the whole infrastructure of the industry. Esports Awards 2019 had three main categories this year, these are:
- Industry
- Community
- Pro
Of course, these categories have several sub-categories. The public vote is also a factor for the awards.
Last year we have seen Ninja go back home with 2 different awards, Esports Personality of the Year and Streamer. The year before that we have Dr Disrespect scoop up the award for Streamer of the Year. Last year Fortnite was the Esports Breakthrough of the Year. In 2017 it was PUBG. As you can see, Battle Royale games changed everything over the last few years. Interestingly, Overwatch was the winner of the Esports Game of the Year in 2018. The year before that we have seen Counter-Strike: Global Offensive take the award. This year will be very interesting because most of the games did not have a very good year.
In 2018, the Esports Awards was in London. However, this year the event was relocated to the Esports Stadium Arlington, Texas. Last year we saw most of the big names win awards. Of course, awards like Streamer of the Year are quite prestigious, and the most popular personalities will try to win it. There are 24 different categories this year. Now without further ado, let us check the Esports Awards 2019 Winners which will be highlighted in “bold” letters.

Recap of the Esports Awards 2019
One interesting record from the night goes to CouRage as he was nominated for 4 awards. The awards began with a couple of interviews. Sjokz and Goldenboy were the first hosts. The Esports Awards also saw an appearance from Arlington’s Mayor Jeff Williams. There has been a video on Esport’s view from the older generation’s perspective. We have seen Goldenboy getting nominated for 3 aawards and winning the esports host of the year.
But maybe the biggest winner of the night was Bugha as he was able to win 2 different awards. Bugha also won the Fortnite World Cup. CouRage not winning an award was interesting as well. We have seen great hosts for each award and it was a great event to have. We congratulate each and every winner of the Esports Awards 2019.
