Fortnite has established itself as an esports game. It took about a year or so for the game to come into its own, but after the success of the Fortnite World Cup, the game will be around for a long time. However, there are some problems that competitors are noticing. Yes, Fortnite World Cup was watched by millions of players around the world. However, when we are taking a look at the current situation, we can see that some of the organizations are getting smaller. TSM recently released two of their players. There have been several other incidents in this manner. The lack of majors and little established tournaments is damaging Fortnite as an esports title. Even though the current situation doesn’t look good, teams are still building their teams. Team Liquid is one of these teams. In that order, Team Liquid signed mitr0.

mitr0, as you all know, was an Atlantis player. There are many organizations in the esports arena and frankly even though Atlantis is an established one, they are not one of the biggest names. Recently some fans of mitr0 started a campaign to let him trade to another team. Well, this campaign worked and now mitr0 is signed by Team Liquid. Team Liquid is one of the biggest organizations in the esports world. They have over 14 teams in different games. This is an outstanding number and their teams are moderately successful, especially in CS:GO. Of course, their Fortnite team is filled with big names also, such as 72hrs, Chap and Vivid.

Team Liquid signing mitr0 is going to change the stakes since he is a big name. Most notably, mitr0 partnering for the duos with 72hrs is already in talks. However, we are a long way from the Fortnite World Cup. There are going to be other changes in the teams in the future. Especially around this time when Fortnite is not putting a huge effort into the esports part of the game. There are some rumors regarding some of the big names. But Team Liquid snatching up mitr0 is huge. Since the FaZe Clan incident with Tfue players are much more aware of the esports organizations and the pitfalls. As we have said we are expecting changes to teams in the future.
