Fortnite Season 9 is fast approaching. As Fortnite Season 8 comes to a conclusion, players are quickly finishing up challenges such as the Fortnite Season 8 Secret Battle Star and Banner locations. However, it was not a season below average. In Season 8 we have seen the Fire King and a volcano. Pirates came into our lives as well as some Inca pyramids. Season 8 is where the Fortnite World Cup Qualifications started and the ranked playlist was introduced. Probably those are the main points that we will remember from the Season 8.
Season 9 is very much expected with hype like with all the seasons. Naturally, we will see some changes to the map and as well as gameplay. Will we see a new complete map change? It’s highly unlikely, even when popular streamers like Tfue were asking for a completely new map. But we have got the first teaser image for Fortnite Season 9. Epic Games likes to reveal Season Teasers bit by bit as we have seen before. These images generally mean the theme of that particular season. What is in store?
We can see a robotic looking samurai warrior with similar runes found in Season 8. Is it the same runes? We cannot say it for sure. However, there is another quote saying “The Future is unknown.”
The character looks extremely similar to a well-known character from Overwatch. The skin is very similar with the horns coming from the top and the bottom of the face. Oni is also a Japanese demon which the Overwatch skin name was also Oni. Perhaps we can see an Asian themed Season 9, or a futuristic one.
Epic Game also announced several audio changes coming with Fortnite Season 9. We are expecting more teasers as the release date approaching. Release Date for Season 9 is May 9, 2019.
