How to Defend on Inferno in CS:GO. Explained by dupreeh
Astralis’ dominance on Inferno
Dupreeh is one of the best CS:GO players in the world, and he is part of the best CS:GO in the world, Astralis. The CS:GO Esports community is familiar with Astralis’ dominance in CS:GO in general. The Danish squad is particularly strong on two maps – Nuke and Inferno. The last time Astralis lost on Inferno was in October of last year. From that moment, they won Inferno 17 times in a row.
In the last six times Astralis played on Inferno, they lost more than 7 rounds only once. Furthermore, the last time Astralis played on Inferno was in ECS Europe Qualifier final against NiP. The Danes won with a score of 16-1. Accordingly, you won’t find a better person to get advice from, than Astralis’ member. In this case, dupreeh talks about critical spots and angles and how to defend on Inferno.
“You need to have good teammates”
Dupreeh states at the very beginning that you need to have a good teammate on Arch side if you want to play Quad. The reason is obvious as there must be mutual understanding and coordination between you and your teammate on the other side. One of the most common themes for the T-side is to smoke off the Arch side. When that happens, you should fall back as dupreeh says.
Another option is to stay there a little bit longer and smoke or Molotov the Middle. Dupreeh adds that you have to be aware of the possibility that someone can pop out from the apartments. So, you need to be careful about that. Then, it’s all about taking a good position on site. You can sit just beside the wall, as dupreeh does. After the first contact, you can move even further back and jump on one of the boxes there.
