New York Subliners Roster
The New York Subliners has an exciting roster filled with ex FaZe Clan and Splyce members. One of the biggest names for FaZe Clan last season was Thomas “Zoomaa” Paparatto, a deadly SMG player. ZooMaa had a roller coaster ride in 2019 with FaZe as the team didn’t qualify for the 2019 CWL season. Although FaZe Clan was out, ZooMaa has an opportunity to play with OpTic Gaming as a temporary sub for OpTic Dashy. However, as luck had it, during the midway point of the season Red Reserve would drop out of the league leaving a nice spot open for FaZe Clan to move in. This gave ZooMaa and company a shot at some CWL majors. ZooMaa had a decent showing with FaZe, finishing 4th at CWL Anaheim and 3rd in the CWL Pro League 2019 playoffs.
He’s joined by fellow FaZe teammate, Trei “Zer0” Morris, also a veteran in the league. Zer0 has been playing CoD esports since 2015 and has changed through a number of teams. His longest run was playing for Red Reserve and ultimately joined FaZe Clan when RR left the league mid-season. Another former FaZe member is Dillon “Attach” Price, has been in the league for a long time, and have crossed many teams including Elevate, Rise Nation, Denial Esports and FaZe Clan. Although Attach was a member of FaZe, he was a loan to Evil Geniuses since FaZe wasn’t in the league at that point. By the time FaZe Clan rejoined the CWL, Attach was still on contract with Evil Geniuses so he never played together with ZooMaa and Zer0. Attach has an impressive resume, as does ZooMaa and Zero, however, Attach is one of six players only to win a Call of Duty Championship title in their first-ever appearance.
The other half of the roster consists of all former Splyce members; Donovan “Temp” Laroda and Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi. Both players had a great start with Splyce in the 2019 season, being considered favorites among many CWL analysts. However, throughout the 2019 season, Splyce would lose their rhythm and start to underperform. Splyce finished 3rd at CWL Las Vegas and 2nd at CWL Fort Worth which was their best showing. Temp continued to dominate throughout the season, having some analysts like Pacman even calling him the best in the game since he’s always consistent in every match. Accuracy had a rough patch later on in the season, being switched to a sub and then switching teams to Evil Geniuses to finish the season. However, that doesn’t take anything away from Accuracy as he’s one of the top tier players in the league, and has won MVP at a major. To duo of Temp and Accuracy, mixed with the trio of ZooMaa, Zer0 and Attach makes the New York Subliners one of the most dangerous teams in the league. New York Call of Duty esports fans will be in for a treat.
Additionally, the roster is complimented with Douglas “Censor” Martin (ex-compLexity) and Nicholas Suda (ex-Encrypted Gaming) as substitute players when there’s a missing member of the starting roster.
The NYS will definitely be a team to keep your eyes on during the regular Call of Duty League season.
