- Updating April 12, 2020: Here’s everything you need to know about CDL Dallas Empire Home Series this weekend. Eight Call of Duty League esports teams will be competing for a prize pool of $100,000.
Day 3 – Dallas Empire Home Series – April 12
Day 2 of the CDL Dallas Home Series clarified the leaderboards and proved that the standings remain on point. The Huntsmen are at the top going 2-0 throughout the event as the same with the Empire. There was a glimmer of hope for the Legion and Ultra who eventually were eliminated and dropped out of the race. The Seattle Surge continued to struggle, despite the allstar performance from Octane, and have been eliminated from the event as well.
Although Minnesota Rokkr and Florida Mutineers had rocky starts, they move into the semi-finals. The Rokkr will take on the Empire; a rematch of the LA Home Series Finals while the Huntsmen will have a chance at revenge against the Mutineers who eliminated them at the Atlanta Home series.
Here is what the schedule looks like for Day 3 – April 12:
1). 4:00 AM ET / 1:00 PM PT / 9:00 PM BST
- Chicago Huntsmen 2 : Florida Mutineers 3 [FINAL RESULT]
2). 5:30 AM ET / 2:30 PM PT / 10:30 PM BST

- Minnesota Rokkr 1 : Florida Mutineers3 [FINAL RESULT]
Day 2 – Dallas Empire Home Series – April 11
With teams back in action, day 1 had some interesting match-ups and results. The first match of the day had Paris Legion, who were on the sidelines in the last event in LA, against the struggling Seattle Surge. Seattle took the first game over the Legion 250-171 on hardpoint. They were looking strong and fans were seeing a glimmer of hope that things would finally turn around for them. But despite the Legion being out of competition for almost two months responded in the next map in convincing fashion; 6-1 in Search & Destroy. Both teams would exchange maps and head to game 5 where the Legion came out on top, pushing the Surge in the knockout bracket.
That’s a 6-5 victory for @ParisLegion! They take the series 3-2.@SeattleSurge drop to the knockout bracket.#CDL2020 | #EnGarde pic.twitter.com/mdpRcgIkrW

The next match had the Toronto Ultra facing the hot Florida Mutineers. Despite not having Prestinni in the line-up, the Mutineers we’re going strong, having decent results at the LA home series. The first map went to Florida by a large margin on Hardpoint, 250 – 122. The Ultra answered back on the next map winning six straight rounds in SnD. The series went to a game 5 where Toronto continued their domination in SnD, winning 6-3 and pushing the Mutineers in the knockout bracket.
That’s a 6-3 victory for @TorontoUltra! They take the map and the series.

Everyone was looking forward to the Chicago Huntsmen versus the Minnesota Rokkr as both teams are solid overall, and the Rokkr have been cruising with momentum, only to lose to Dallas in the finals last event. However, it seems the break went in favor of the Huntsmen as they rolled through the series convincingly, placing the Minnesota Rokkr in the knockout bracket. The last match of the day was the featured home team, Dallas Empire, up against the struggling Los Angeles Gurrillas. The LAG have swapped out 3 players last event to see if they can boost up the dynamic of the team. However, that didn’t fair well, and it also showed in the first match against Dallas. Dallas only lost one map, and cruise to a 3-1 series victory over the LAG, pushing them further down the CDL leaderboards and into the knockout bracket.
That’s a convincing 3-0 series win for @Huntsmen after the victory on Gun Runner Domination!

Day 1 – Dallas Empire Home Series – April 10
The Call of Duty League has finally returned after a long break. Fans received sad news in March that the CDL would need to post-pone the season for a little bit in order to figure out the logistics of turning the live events to an “online-only” format. Although it might not seem like something that’s difficult to do because everything will be streamed on Youtube, it’s actually more complicated than one would think, and it took more than a month to finally have the CDL return after careful planning and setup. The Home Series event would be “technically” in Dallas, however, Dallas Empire will be playing with their home advantage, being one of the last teams to compete on day 1. The format of the weekend will also change going forward as CDL Home Series events will cover three days as opposed to two like in previous events. Like the old Call of Duty World League, fans will see action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
There will be eight esports teams competing this weekend, with three teams staying home for the weekend. The teams competing are the Dallas Empire, Minnesota Rokkr, Florida Mutineers, New York Subliners, Los Angeles Guerrillas, Paris Legion, Seattle Surge and the Toronto Ultra. OpTic Gaming LA, New York Subliners, London Royal Ravens and Atlanta FaZe are staying on the sidelines for this event. Currently, this is how the Call of Duty League leaderboards looks after two home series:
In the last home series, OpTic Gaming LA finally broke out of the bottom and made it to the semi-finals at their home series. After receiving harsh criticism from around the league, they were able to prove to the CDL gods that they are worthy of being considered a top tier team even though they have an all-star line-up. The Atlanta FaZe were dominant as usual, however, that came to an end against the Minnesota Rokkr who finally beat the young team in a game 5. It was the first loss of the season for the FaZe and the Minnesota Rokkr moved to the finals. Dallas Empire fought their way to the finals in convincing fashion and met the hot Minnesota Rokkr. The finals went to a game 5; a first in the CDL and the Empire came out on top.

Here is how the Pro League Playoffs Winner Brackets look like
Coming into the Dallas Home series, teams like the Toronto Ultra, Los Angeles Guerrillas and Seattle Surge will be looking for answers and try to make a major change like OGLA did in the last event. Toronto currently sits at the bottom of the CDL leaderboards with the LAG and Surge. The only other team at the bottom of the list is the Subliners, who are unfortunately on the sidelines in this event.
The Empire will look to continue their winning streak after winning the Los Angeles Home Series. The team has been one of the best online, and this will definitely favor the Empire team who received criticism from around the league due to their slow start on LAN. But that was put to an end at the last event. Now the Empire will need to beat the Huntsmen, who have been their achilles heel, to finally have bragging rights.
Florida Mutineers will continue to play without Prestinni, who is taking a much-needed break, but will be returning in the near future. The Minnesota Rokkr will be looking to continue their strong performance, and they have shown that they are not scared of any team in the league. The Chicago Huntsmen had an event off and didn’t participate in LA, but they will be looking to take back 1st place on the leaderboards. The Paris Legion are also returning since being out of the LA home series and will be looking to climb up the leaderboards as well, with KISMET leading the way.
