Call of Duty League Playoffs 2020
It’s been more than 6 months since the inaugural CDL season started, and most of the questions that fans had were answered. After the CWL (Call of Duty World League) ended, the future was uncertain for many players. Some esports teams did not participate in the new Call of Duty League such as 100 Thieves and Evil Geniuses. The other teams that did stay in the league had to rebrand their Call of Duty division since the league was based on franchised cities. FaZe Clan, for example, rebranded their CoD team to represent the city of Atlanta ( Atlanta FaZe). Other teams created an entirely new brand, for example, NRG Esports’s CoD division is the Chicago Huntsmen.

With the change of teams called for a change of rosters, and teams were broken up entirely with the exception of a few duos remaining together such as Dashy and TJ Haly with OpTic Gaming Los Angeles and The twins, Prestinni and Arcitys with the Huntsmen. In the end, fans didn’t know what to expect and were in for an exciting season. Six months later and now we’re heading into the CDL Playoffs.

CDL Playoffs Schedule
The inaugural CDL season just wrapped up last week in Toronto, with the Toronto Ultra shocking everyone and beating the Atlanta FaZe in the finals. That last event had unexpected turns and if that will carry on in the Playoffs, fans are in for a treat. The Atlanta FaZe finished the season at the top with Dallas Empire in 2nd; both teams advancing to the later part of the tournament. The Chicago Huntsmen and Florida Mutineers were right behind at #3 and #4 on the leaderboards, but have one extra layer before they can move on to possibly play Atlanta or Dallas.
