- Atlanta FaZe is one of the 12 teams participating in the Call of Duty League inaugural season. Here’s everything you need to know about the Atlanta FaZe team.
Who Are The Atlanta FaZe?
The Atlanta FaZe are a Call of Duty esports team competing in the Call of Duty League. The team represents the city of Atlanta and is co-owned by Atlanta Esports Ventures and FaZe Clan.
FaZe Clan Partners With Atlanta Esports Ventures
On Oct.26,2019, Atlanta FaZe was introduced to the Call of Duty world. The team would be created through a partnership between Atlanta Esports Ventures (AEV) and FaZe Clan. With FaZe Clan’s deep roots in Call of Duty esports, it was an obvious choice for AEV to enter the CoD market, especially since they already have their presence in the Overwatch League with the Atlanta Reign.

The team showcased their new logo, which has the workings of FaZe Clan founder Tommy “Temperrr” Olivera pairing the F from FaZe with the A from Atlanta to create this.
FaZe Clan’s CEO, Lee Trink shared his thoughts on the partnership:
“FaZe Clan has its roots in Call of Duty and participating in this inaugural league enables us to remain true to that rich heritage. We are excited to partner with AEV and begin this new chapter for FaZe, in making Atlanta a new home.”
Atlanta FaZe Roster
The new 5-man Atlanta FaZe (A.F) roster consists of professional Call of duty players from the old Call of Duty World League:
- Tyler Pharris – ABEZY
- Michael Szymaniak – MAJORMANIAK
- Chris Lehr – SIMP
- McArthur Jovel – CELLIUM
- Preston Greiner – PRIESTAHH

Tyler “ABezy” Pharris and Chris “Simp” Lehr played together last season for eUnited, which are one of the traditional esports organizations that didn’t participate in the new CDL. Both players won the last CWL Championship with eUnited, beating 100 Thieves. There are two original FaZe Clan members who remain with the A.F, Priestahh, and Cellium. Preston “Priestahh” Greiner was playing for 100 Thieves at the time and was also a loan from FaZe Clan since the team did not qualify for the Call of Duty World League 2019 season.
But during mid-season, one of the teams that did qualify, Red Reserve, dropped out of the CWL mid-season in which FaZe Clan took to their spot. Priestahh still remained on 100 Thieves because of his contract as a loan player. Rise McArthur “CELLIUM” Jovel is another only FaZe Clan member to have kept his spot with the newly formed team. Michael “Majormaniak” Szymaniak comes from Gen.G, one of the top contenders in the old Call of Duty World League. Gen.G was considered a favorite to win the CWL Championship but fell short early on in the tournament.
The new A.F roster is filled with experienced players who have played in CoD competitive for a long time, with the exception of Simp. Simp only joined eUnited mid-season as he was a substitute for the team. However, he made his mark with the team immediately, helping eUnited lift the CWL Finals and CWL Championship trophies. Simp also won back to back MVP titles and won the Esports Rookie Console Player of the Year at the Esports Awards. The A.F roster is one of the best looking rosters in the new Call of Duty League, and they will be one of the top contenders in the league.
