Apex Legends Preseason Competitions
A few months ago ESPN announced their new esports series which is called EXP which is short for “experience”. The EXP series is a mix of professional, collegiate and Pro-Am. To kick off the new series this year, ESPN featured Apex Legends as the main title for EXP. So far fans have seen the EXP Pro-Am Apex Legends and the EXP Invitational – Apex Legends at X Games Minneapolis. The final tournament in the Apex Legends Preseason Competitions will be the Preseason Invitational which will be held in Krakow, Poland on Sept 13th to Sept 15th.
The last Apex Legends esports tournament will have the best teams in the world compete for a prize pool of $500,000. Here are all the details for the upcoming tournament.
Preseason Invitational – Krakow, Poland
The last tournament for Respawn Entertainment’s Preseason Competitions will be held in Krakow, Poland. Poland is a hub for esport tournaments as they host other majors in Katowice for CS:GO, Fortnite and StarCraft II. The Apex Legends Preseason Invitational will start on Sept 13th and run through to Sept.15th.
The best teams in the world will compete for a prize pool of $500,000, specifically X-Games Gold Medalists such as:
- TSM
- Fnatic
- Virtus.pro
- T1
- MVP
Other notable teams are NRG Esports, Rogue and Misfits. There will be up to 80 teams from around the world that will compete in the double-elimination bracket. The aThe action will be streamed on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook and Mixer. Gameplay will begin at 1:30 CEST which is 7300 am Eastern/4:30 am Pacific.

The format of the tournament will be double-elimination. There are 20 spots to earn the cash prize. If multiple players tie for the most kills over the course of the Finals, they will share the $8,000. The prize distribution is as follows:
