One of the most sought out items in Apex Legends is the Loot Tick. Because of it’s odd shape and look, many fans have started to create their own versions of the Apex Legends Loot Tick. Here’s one custom-made 3D printed Loot Tick done by a fan.

What do the Loot Ticks Do?

In-game, the Loot Tick can be found in “randomized” places. You can’t really check the in-game map and see where they are located. So how many one know where to find them? By listening to the odd sounds the Loot Ticks propel as you get near-by. You know you’re near a Loot Tick when you hear a strange mechanical robotic sound. It’s very evident, and unique in the game so you can’t confuse it with anything else.

The Apex Legends Loot Tick also has purple glowing lights (or yellow) that make it easy to pick out. So what’s the point to finding these odd mechanical robots? They give you high tier loot! Essentially, you may be blessed with Purple or Gold items (depending on the light of the Loot Tick). Anything from gold optics to Purple armor, it’s no wonder players try to search for these Loot Ticks as soon as they drop into a location.

Well, some Apex Legends fans have started to make miniature custom-made Apex Legends Loot Tick models. Here’s one you need the check out.

One fan took it to the next level and created their own Apex Legends Loot Tick model. The artist, aatro, has printed a 3D miniature Apex Legends Loot Tick and nailed it with the paint job. Since 3D printing is pretty much accurate from what you set, the fan needed to come through with his paint job in which he did. Here’s some photos of the Loot Tick.

Essentially, the 3D printed model of the Loot Tick resembles the Loot Tick from the Apex Packages screen as the “eyes” of the robot are blue, just like on the package screen. It would be neat if the artist would be able to paint a few with the glowing purple lights and yellow lights. Perhaps even add an LED light to propel the bright colors.

This is definitely a neat Apex Legends collectible that you can display in your gameroom or even next to your gaming monitor to show your true passion for Apex Legends.

Where did the artist get the blueprints for the Apex Legends Loot Tick?

The artist never mentioned anything in regards to the blueprints and if they created it themselves. However, one Game Life reader by the name of Jon helped out in that department and provided some more information about the blueprints for the Loot Tick. There’s a website called “Thingaverse” which is a design community for discovering, making, and sharing 3D printable things. Many artists who aren’t able to design things using a computer software can go to this site and print out blueprints such as the Apex Legends Tick Loot. They can then print the model with a 3D printer and then add the finishing touches with a nice paint job.

The link to the blueprints of the Loot Tick can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3434199. The designer of the Loot Tick blueprints is Gabriel Lensch, and his Thingiverse profile can be found here (https://www.thingiverse.com/gaby13m/about). If you are interested in printing out this Loot Tick yourself, it’s free on the site. If you would like to give back to the designer (Gabriel Lensch), there’s a tip option on the page. Here’s some images of the blueprints
