Apex Legends is Bringing 2FA For Cheaters

Apex Legends is one of the biggest games right now. The game might have a bumpy road however, Respawn was able to grow their community after Season 3. However, until Season 3 the game was riddled with cheaters and bugs. Cheating was lesser after Season 3. However, with Season 5 we have a rise in cheaters across all platforms. Cheaters are learning about the potential loopholes over time and they can start writing new codes in order to use them. One of the best ways of preventing cheaters is actually 2FA and according to rumors Apex Legends might bring this feature into the game.

Apex Legends cheaters as we have said rise with Season 5. Also, we have seen cheaters running a stream in order to promote their cheats. 2FA might prevent these issues in the future. So how does 2FA work? In order to activate 2FA players will need to enter their phone number to access the game. This will be problematic after you are caught because you will need to get another number in the future to access to the game once again. Of course, it is still not a foolproof system as some countries around the world people need to pay very little in order to get a phone number.

We have seen Apex Legends top players even teaming up within the ranked games. There are many instances in the gaming community that as more at stake players are more daring to cheat. We also saw teaming up issues within Fortnite Solo Cash Cup. We are expecting that 2FA to become a standard feature in online multiplayer competitive games. Rainbow Six Siege already has 2FA in their game. This prevents caught cheaters to access Ranked games and makes the overall game field better for players. We hope that Apex Legends devs Respawn will bring this feature soon.
